(the only way i could convince her that we need a card was for her movie making) Now I can play more games and she can make her moviesĬons: Tried overclocking with the catalyst control center and it kept causing my screen to tweak out. With this card installed last night my wife was able to make movies without any real problem. Constant freezing crashing and even a few blue screen of deaths. Before I was running off my 4250 integrated graphics and it could just not handle windows movie maker I guess. was playing on extreme setting the fps anywhere from 25 to 55.įixed all of my issues with windows movie maker. The only video game I really play is SC2 and this is more than you really need for that game. Everything seams to be working well for the most part. Pros: Cheep if found on sale"Black Friday" 80$. Overall Review: If you don't care for eyefinity or crossfire, but you like graphics, this is probably the cheapest card that will run most games at max settings.Īsus has respected the rebate deal as well, I won't be getting my check for a long time but that is normal with all rebate deals. So I dug out an HDMI cable to replace it, but then the monitor wouldn't display 1080p full-screen anymore! Had to go into Catalyst and change the underscan/overscan settings. Wouldn't display properly no matter what I did, and I confirmed that the cable was fine. When I swapped it over, the VGA one displayed everything with a blue tint and lessened red. Originally had one monitor running on a DVI cable and the other on VGA. And it comes with a free game AND has a mail-in rebate! Good stuff.Ĭons: Was a little moody setting it up. This thing is solidly built and very well packaged. Most cards I've ever installed in computers have felt like you need to be ULTRA careful with them when handling or else you'll botch 'em up. Very nice card for the price, easy to install, EXCELLENT construction - VERY sturdy.
